When the claim is about your work, not an injury.
Professional liability — errors and omissions — covers claims that your advice or your work caused a client a financial loss. General liability does not respond to that. We write E&O for service businesses across Orange County and explain what the policy will and will not defend.

What does professional liability cover?
Claims that your professional work or advice caused a client financial harm, including the cost of defending you.
Errors and omissions
A missed deadline, a mistake in a deliverable, advice that did not work out — if a client says it cost them money, this is the policy that responds.
Defense costs
Legal defense is often the larger expense, and it applies even when the allegation turns out to be unfounded. The policy states whether defense sits inside or outside your limit.
Claims-made timing
Most E&O policies cover claims made while the policy is in force, not work done while it was. That makes the retroactive date on your policy worth checking every year.
What it does not cover
Bodily injury and property damage belong on general liability. Dishonest acts and known claims are excluded. We go through the exclusions before you sign.
Who typically carries it
Consultants, agencies, technology firms, accountants, real estate professionals, and anyone whose contracts require proof of E&O before work starts.
Contract requirements
Client contracts often name a required limit and specific wording. Send us the contract and we will place the coverage to match it.
What sits alongside E&O?
The other management-liability coverages that respond when the claim is about a decision rather than an accident.
Directors & officers
Covers the people who serve on a board or run an organization when a decision they made becomes a claim against them personally.
Employment practices liability
Responds to claims brought by employees or applicants — hiring, discipline, termination, harassment allegations — including defense costs.
Cyber protection
Covers a breach of your systems or client data, including notification obligations and the cost of getting back to work.
Not sure this is the one? Start with what happened.
You are opening a business and need your first policies in place.
You hired your first employee in California and need workers' comp.
Your renewal arrived and you want someone to look at it properly.
Your renewal arrived with a higher premium and no explanation of what changed.
Why people move their policies here.
What it's like to have one agency for everything.
You'll know what's excluded before you sign
We go through what the policy does not pay for — water backup, roof settlement, ordinance and law, wildfire smoke limits — while you can still change it. Surprises belong before the claim, not after.
The same two people know your whole file
Home, auto, business — it's all with the same office, and the same two people remember your last call. You never start over with someone new or re-explain your house at renewal.
Choices, explained side by side
We're an independent agency. We put several California-admitted carriers next to each other and show you the differences in writing, so the decision is yours to make.
Straight answers, in their words.
“PLACEHOLDER_ verbatim Kevin Cox review pending. Quote as written, including the typo; trim with an ellipsis if needed.”
“PLACEHOLDER_ verbatim Joni Mckamey review pending (names Tony).”
“One call, every policy in the house, and the same person every time.”
The things we can say plainly.
